Catalytic Chemistry
KairoSpace team has designed, built and set up a pilot plant for gas mixtures reactions addressed at the characterization of catalytic systems relevant to a wide range of energy production processes (e.g., dry reforming, steam reforming, methanation, hydrogenation, reverse water gas-shift, catalytic partial oxidation, etc.).
Plasma Engineering
In collaboration with Noivion s.r.l., Kairospace has developed a modified Ionized Jet Deposition (IJD) source to apply the Physical Vacuum Deposition (PVD) technique based on pulsed electron ablation: the equipment employs a special pulsed electron source (the ‘gun’) able to generate ultra-short and high power electric discharges in vacuum.
Microwave analysis
KairoSpace provides a wide range of microwave VNA-based measurement of dielectric properties of materials & structures by waveguide and coaxial set-up (2÷18 GHz), free space NRL Arch system (0.1÷18 GHz) in anechoic environment, reverberation chamber (0.05÷18 GHz) & outdoor antenna equipment, as well as dedicated FEM simulation tools (CST Studio Suite) for far-field experimental validation, radar cross section assessment and mixed clutter analysis.
